In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Master Muhammad and his pure, immaculate family, and may Allah's curse be upon all their enemies.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
May Allah magnify our reward and yours for the martyrdom of the great and pure Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
After reviewing your question, the Shaykh provided the following response:
"The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, was not disobedient—God forbid—in this situation. It was forbidden for him to erase the title of "Messenger of Allah", peace and blessings be upon him and his family. The directive given by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, was not a legislative [obligatory] command [مولوي] but rather an illustrative one [تصويري]. If what occurred from the Commander, peace be upon him, had been an act of disobedience, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, would have indicated this, and such did not happen.
This contrasts with what occurred with Umar and those who disobeyed the command of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, when he ordered them to shave their heads. In that instance, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, expressed his displeasure and rebuked them.
Furthermore, Ali, peace be upon him, was not among those who refused to shave their heads or perform the sacrificial slaughter, and no historian has ever explicitly mentioned this. Had such a thing occurred, it would have been documented, just as it was with Umar and his likes, may Allah curse them."

Answer

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful,
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the pure, immaculate family of Muhammad. And may the perpetual and severe curse be upon their enemies and oppressors altogether.
Respected Sheikh, peace be upon you,
The opponents acknowledge that during the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, some of the "Companions" were strongly opposed to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. Among them was Umar, who displayed astonishing disrespect towards him.
However, according to their claim, the Companion Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, disobeyed the Prophet when he refused to erase the title "Messenger of Allah" from the beginning of the treaty document, replacing it with "Muhammad bin Abdullah." This compelled the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, to erase it with his noble hand. Furthermore, after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) ordered the shaving of heads and the sacrificial slaughter, no one responded to his command, including the Companion Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, forcing the Prophet to repeat the order three times without success.
How accurate is this narration?
Thank you...
